Mr Oumarou Yada is an artist living in Fada N'Gourma, a small town to the east of Burkina Faso. He makes a living from selling his hand-painted greetings cards. Gillie stumbled upon him in February 2007 and has since been selling his charming cards for him here in the UK, thereby making him a good living. The cards sell at £1.50 each and can be ordered individually or in packs of five for £6.50. Below is a sample of the type of cards which are available. Please note that as each card is entirely individually and uniquely produced, no two cards will be the same.
Also available from this website, at a cost of £5, is a book written by Gillie and entitled "The rosary is boring! ... Isn't it?', all proceeds of which will be used to fund Les Amis. This book is a must for anybody who thinks that the rosary is boring or who doesn't know much about the rosary and would like to know more.
